Elena's performance career began with Circus Juventas in 1997, where she spent 10 years training and performing. In 2010 she began writing and performing her original music, which has been showcased across the globe, from Seville, to Copenhagen, Honolulu, Scotland and Wales and across the Twin Cities at venues such as the Dakota Jazz Club, 7th Street Entry, The Fine Line and The Cabooze. She has brought her aerial artistry to The Walker Art Center, Icehouse, and formerly Intermedia Arts. She enjoys both traditional and interdisciplinary performance work and is absolutely smitten with the art of songwriting and producing music. For her, making art is both a form of personal expression and a vehicle for inspiring and uplifting her communities. Elena is available for live performance, print and film, teaching and workshops.
